Cookie policy

Summary

This website does not use cookies to track you. There are no analytics, advertising or social-media cookies, and no cookies are set when you browse the site or use the contact form. That is why you don’t see a cookie banner.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies include local storage and tracking pixels. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), a website must ask for your consent before using cookies, unless they are strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for.

Cookies used on this website

The only cookies used are set by WordPress (the software that runs this site) when someone logs in to manage the website. Ordinary visitors will not receive them. They are strictly necessary, so consent is not required.

wordpress_test_cookieChecks that the browser accepts cookies on the login pageSession
wordpress_sec_… and wordpress_logged_in_…Keep site administrators securely logged inSession, or 14 days if “Remember me” is ticked

Third-party content

This website does not embed content from other sites (such as YouTube videos, maps or social-media feeds) and does not use third-party fonts, analytics or spam-protection services. If you follow a link to another website, such as LinkedIn, that website’s own cookie policy will apply.

If this changes

If I ever add cookies that are not strictly necessary – for example, website analytics – I will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before setting them.

Managing cookies

You can view, block and delete cookies through your browser settings. The ICO has guidance on how to control cookies.
