01

Project management

Hands-on leadership of IT projects from initiation to go-live – keeping scope, cost, time, risk and quality under control, and stakeholders properly informed.

What this typically includes

  • Requirements capture, scoping and business cases
  • Integrated planning, budgeting and resource management
  • RAID management, change and release control
  • Procurement, tender evaluation and supplier management
  • Systems integration across ERP, CRM, eCommerce and warehouse platforms
  • Go-live, transition to service and lessons learned

A good fit when…

You have a critical project – a new ERP or planning system, a manufacturing-systems deployment, an infrastructure refresh or a complex integration – and need an experienced project manager who can start quickly and take ownership.

02

Programme management

Bringing related projects together under one plan so they deliver real, measurable change – not just a set of finished outputs.

What this typically includes

  • Programme scoping, mobilisation and roadmap
  • Programme governance, boards and decision-making
  • Assembling and leading multi-disciplinary teams of project managers, architects and analysts
  • Managing dependencies across multiple vendors and technologies
  • Financial and commercial management
  • Benefits definition, tracking and realisation

A good fit when…

You are running a transformation with several moving parts – for example a new plant or production line, a supply-chain consolidation or a compliance programme – and need someone to hold the whole picture together.

03

Portfolio management & PMO

Helping leadership invest in the right change, at the right pace, with a clear line of sight across everything in flight.

What this typically includes

  • Interim portfolio management
  • Prioritisation and investment decisions
  • Proportionate governance, stage gates and standards
  • Portfolio reporting, capacity planning and dependency tracking
  • Coaching and support for project managers

A good fit when…

You have more demand than capacity, reporting you don’t fully trust, or a portfolio that needs a steady hand while you recruit permanently.

04

Programme recovery & turnaround

An objective view of where things really stand – and the hands-on leadership to get them back on track.

What this typically includes

  • Rapid health checks and independent reviews
  • Advising senior management on failing programmes
  • Practical recovery strategy and re-planning
  • Re-baselining scope, plan and budget with stakeholders
  • Interim leadership through the recovery period

A good fit when…

A project or programme is late, over budget or losing the confidence of sponsors – or you want reassurance before a major go-live.

Engagement options

Ways of working together

Every engagement is agreed in writing up front, with a clear scope and commercial basis.

Interim / day-rate

Embedded delivery leadership on a day-rate basis, typically for 3–12 months. On-site, hybrid or remote.

Fixed-scope assignments

Defined pieces of work – a health check, PMO set-up or mobilisation – for an agreed fee and timescale.

Advisory & assurance

Periodic, independent oversight for sponsors and boards who want a trusted second opinion.

Engagements are supplied through Millit Consultants Limited and, where relevant, are assessed for IR35 status on a case-by-case basis.
